Fytix ("we", "our", "us"), operated by Globax Apps, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Fytix mobile application ("App").
1. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide
- Account details: name, email address, date of birth, gender.
- Body metrics: height, current weight, target weight.
- Fitness profile: fitness goals, activity level, experience level.
- Workout data: completed sessions, sets, reps, weights, exercise notes.
- Nutrition data: food logs, meal plans, calorie and macro targets.
- Progress photos you upload manually.
- Check-in data: mood, energy levels, daily notes.
- Support requests or communications you send us.
b. Health Data (Apple HealthKit — iOS only)
Fytix may request access to Apple HealthKit to read step count, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), and sleep data. This data is displayed to you as personal insights only and is never shared with third parties.
- HealthKit data is read on-device and displayed within the app.
- We do not upload or store raw HealthKit data on our servers.
- You can revoke HealthKit access at any time via iOS Settings → Health → Data Access → Fytix.
c. Automatically Collected Information
- Device information: OS version, device type, app version.
- Usage data: feature interactions, screens visited, session frequency.
- Purchase and subscription status.
- Crash reports and error logs (anonymised).
d. Payments
All payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment card information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Personalise your workout plans, nutrition targets, and fitness recommendations.
- Track and display your progress over time (weight history, personal bests, streak).
- Provide and improve app functionality and user experience.
- Manage subscriptions, purchases, and account access.
- Detect abuse, fraud, or misuse of the service.
- Send important service notifications (not marketing without consent).
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your fitness or health data for advertising.
3. Progress Photos
If you choose to upload progress photos:
- Photos are stored securely in encrypted cloud storage.
- Your photos are private — only you can view them within the app.
- We do not use your photos for any purpose other than displaying them to you.
- You can delete individual photos at any time from within the app.
- All photos are permanently deleted when you delete your account.
4. How We Handle Health & Body Data
a. What We Collect
- Body metrics you enter: weight logs, height, body measurements.
- Workout performance data: sets, reps, weights, duration, distance.
- Nutrition data: food items logged, calorie and macro totals.
- Check-in data: mood, energy, sleep quality ratings.
b. How It Is Used
- To calculate personalised calorie and macro targets.
- To track progress toward your fitness and body composition goals.
- To display historical trends, personal bests, and streaks.
- To power AI coaching suggestions (where enabled).
c. Retention
- Your fitness and health data is retained while your account is active.
- Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
- We may retain anonymised, aggregated analytics data with no personal identifiers.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data:
- All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
- Access to your data is restricted via authenticated API requests.
- Progress photos and sensitive files are served via signed, time-limited URLs.
- No system is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Supabase — Authentication, database, and cloud storage for your data and photos.
- RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management.
- Apple HealthKit — On-device health data (steps, HR, sleep) — read only, never uploaded to our servers.
- Expo / React Native — App build and update delivery infrastructure.
Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
7. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with:
- Advertisers or marketing platforms.
- Data brokers or resellers.
- Any third party for purposes unrelated to operating Fytix.
We may share anonymised, aggregated data (e.g. popular workout trends) that cannot identify you. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect user safety.
8. Your Rights
a. Access & Portability
- Request a copy of your personal data.
- Export your workout and nutrition history.
b. Correction & Deletion
- Update your profile data at any time in the app.
- Delete specific progress photos from within the app.
- Delete your entire account via Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete Account.
c. Data Opt-Outs
- Revoke HealthKit access via iOS Settings → Health → Data Access → Fytix.
- Disable analytics tracking where available in app settings.
d. Exercising Your Rights
Contact us at privacy@fytix.app. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
Fytix is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact us immediately at privacy@fytix.app and we will delete it.
10. International Users
- Your data may be stored and processed in countries other than your own.
- We comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR and CCPA.
- EU/EEA users: we rely on standard contractual clauses for international data transfers.
11. Changes to This Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy at any time.
- Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification.
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
- The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
We will respond to all privacy inquiries within 30 days as required by applicable law.
